WAALI is thrilled to announce its receipt of a Lotterywest Grant presented by Hon Dr Tony Buti MLA, Minister for Education; Aboriginal Affairs; Citizenship and Multicultural Interests. This significant grant will support the design, delivery, administration, and impact assessment of WAALI’s Aboriginal leadership and training programs.
WAALI’s Elders joined with board members and WAALI staff to welcome the Minister and his staff to celebrate this grant agreement.
The Grant will enable WAALI to significantly expand its reach and impact, launching new initiatives such as a Men’s Leadership Program and extending its services to support prisons, young people, and regional communities across Western Australia.
The grant presentation ceremony, hosted at WAALI’s City West Lotteries House offices, was a celebration of growth and opportunity, highlighting WAALI’s journey and aspirations for the future. Minister Buti congratulated WAALI on its achievements, acknowledging the organisation’s vital role in developing Aboriginal leaders and its ongoing commitment to community empowerment.
WAALI extends its deepest gratitude to Lotterywest for their generosity and to the Hon Dr Tony Buti MLA for his continued support of Aboriginal leadership. This funding represents a pivotal moment in WAALI’s journey, allowing the organisation to broaden its impact and strengthen its capacity to deliver transformative leadership programs.
